This past winter was another (more) unusual one with intense thaws and freeze-ups. On our roof it created a 3 inch layer of ice covered by a foot of snow. When we had the spring melt this slid down in large slabs pulverizing large areas of tile on lower levels of the roof. Engilbert came to our rescue, repaired all the different areas of damage and installed several hundred ice breakers (Sno-Blox?) to prevent this from happening again. Our roof is beautiful again thx to Engilbert, the hardest working guy you'll ever meet. He sure knows his stuff.Rob

GOOD EXPERIENCE

I have a very bad experience with the previous contractor contacted by my insurance company which lead me to decide to hire an independent company to do the repairs of the roofing, sidings, gutter, and other exterior jobs. I was so disappointed with the leaking gutters and how they were designed that one corner was totally detached. The choice of color of the asphalt shingles was decided in the store since they have no available brochure to be taken at home for me to compare with the neighboring houses.My close family friend told me good stories and feedbacks about the projects done by the owner of Roofix Roofing & Sidings Ltd.. Thus, I immediately contacted him last year; he conducted the roofing inspection and flatly told me that there were no drip edges and no valleys which are very essential, part and parcel of the roofing.Actual repairs were done middle part of this month where the choice of the color of the asphalt shingles was decided outside our house after the comparison with neighboring roofs which I found very important.Drip edges and valleys were installed plus the whirly bird for the ventilation at my own expense. We have a light snow last week and the gutters showed no signs of leaking.In entirety, the result of the repairs and renovation meets beyond my expectations. My wife and I are so happy to have the services of Roofix Roofing & Sidings Ltd.. Job well done, Engilbert!!!

A tile roof installation is a scary proposition. It is cost intensive, somewhat weather dependent, and demands craftsmanship if the job is going to weather the elements year after year.I am exceedingly pleased and satisfied with the job that Engilbert Ebidag (Gilbert) and his team did on my roof several years ago. It is a large roof with a complex roofline, and multiple levels. (Take a look on google maps – 28 Hawkside Close NW). We have had ZERO problems since install.Here is what went right:1) The team was there every day from early morning until after sunset.2) Not once did I see a cell phone in any one’s hand, and I watch for that.3) Gilbert consulted with me on roof vents, slots, configuration, and airflow design to maximize attic cooling and heating, and adjusted the design per my direction.4) Gilbert changed the first glued flashing element with a cheerful smile when I objected to the colour match,5) Gilbert changed a ridge element at my request even though removing it meant unbuttoning 5 superior tiles6) Gilbert installed longer underlayment membrane than normal, per my instruction and to my satisfaction7) The wood latticework that supports the tile and allows the roof to breath was installed correctly and was very solid and professional using good quality wood.8) Every member of Gilbert’s team exuded pride-of-craft in both their work ethic and their work product9) Gilbert’s men are quite light on their feet, and therefore less likely to break tiles with their weight.10) The clean-up was immaculate11) The total job elapsed time was impressiveIf you need a team of craft-ninjas to come and install a complex high-end roof, look no further.
